How does LinkAsia read your existing page?
An import starts with two views of your page. LinkAsia fetches the public page as text — every heading, link label and destination URL — and separately captures a screenshot of how it actually renders in a browser. Nothing needs to be installed, and you never hand over a password: if a visitor can open the page, so can the importer.
Those two views go to an AI model that reads them together. The text tells it what your links are and where they point; the screenshot tells it what the page looks like and how the pieces are arranged, which is what plain text alone always loses. At the same time we sample the screenshot for its dominant colours and work out whether the background is a flat colour or a gradient, so the imported page starts from your palette rather than a stock template.
The model returns a structured page — profile header, link buttons, social icons, text sections, images — which LinkAsia turns into real, editable blocks in the builder. The whole thing usually takes well under a minute, and you land in the builder with a draft you can change, not a locked-in copy.
What gets imported?
The essentials come across first: your display name, your bio text, your avatar, and every link button with its label and destination. Social profile links are recognised as social icons rather than being dumped in as ordinary buttons, so the row of icons at the top of your page looks the way it should.
Design travels too. The colour palette sampled from your old page becomes your theme's background, button and text colours, with contrast checked so nothing ends up unreadable, and gradients are carried over as gradients. Where your old page showed a thumbnail or an icon next to a link, LinkAsia matches that image to the right link block instead of leaving a row of blank buttons.
Images are re-hosted rather than hot-linked. Your avatar and any imported artwork are copied into LinkAsia's own storage, which means your new page keeps working even after you delete the old one — a detail that quietly breaks a lot of manual migrations.
Which pages can you import from?
The URL importer is not tied to one competitor. Because it reads any public page the way a browser does, it works on Linktree, LinkGoods, Beacons, Later and hand-built personal sites alike — paste the URL and it extracts what is there.
Some platforms get purpose-built handling instead of a generic read. A YouTube channel URL pulls your latest videos through the channel's public feed, and Instagram and TikTok profile URLs are read through those platforms' own public embed data, which is more reliable than scraping a profile page. Point the importer at a single video or post rather than a profile and it falls back to the generic path, so it still returns something usable.

Any public link-in-bio page works, and a few platforms get purpose-built handling. We're continuously adding more.

PlannedNo URL to paste? Import from a screenshot
If your existing page is behind a login, lives inside an app, or simply no longer exists, you can upload a screenshot of it instead — a PNG or JPEG up to 5MB — and the same vision model reads the image directly. It recognises the layout, the visible link labels and the colour palette from the picture alone. Link destinations are the one thing a screenshot cannot contain, so you will need to paste those URLs in yourself afterwards; everything else arrives ready to edit.
Are there any limits?
Every account can run five imports per day. That allowance is shared across all of them — URL imports, screenshot imports and platform imports draw from the same five — and it resets at midnight. Five is enough to migrate a page and retry a couple of times if the first result is not quite right; it exists to keep AI costs sane, not to push you onto a paid plan. AI import itself is free on every plan, including the free one.
What differs by plan is which blocks an import may create. Product cards, booking, tip jar and auto-updating feed blocks require the Creator plan, so on the free plan they are filtered out of the result and LinkAsia tells you what was removed. It degrades rather than deletes where it can: an imported product becomes its image plus a link button pointing at the same destination, so the page still reads correctly. Image backgrounds are also a Creator feature and fall back to a solid colour from your palette.
What should you expect afterwards?
You get a draft, not a published page. The import lands in the builder where you can reorder blocks by dragging, rewrite labels, delete anything the model over-interpreted, and add the blocks your old platform never had — a lead form, a tip jar, a product card, a booking list. Nothing goes live until you publish it at linkasia.me/yourname.
Your original page is left completely untouched. LinkAsia only reads it, so you can import, compare the two side by side, and keep the old link in your bio until you are happy with the new one. Expect to spend a few minutes tidying: AI import is meant to remove the tedious retyping of twenty links and a bio, not the editorial judgement about what belongs at the top of your page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Paste your Linktree URL and our AI reads your page content, extracting your display name, bio, avatar, social links, and content blocks. It then recreates your page on LinkAsia automatically.
Any public link-in-bio page works — Linktree, LinkGoods, Beacons, Later and personal websites included — because the importer reads the page the way a browser does. YouTube channels, Instagram profiles and TikTok profiles get purpose-built handling that uses each platform's own public data. LinkedIn and Twitter/X profile imports are still on the list.
No. We only read your public page — nothing is modified on the original platform. Your Linktree page stays exactly as it is.
Yes! AI import is available on all plans, including the free plan. You can import up to 5 pages per day.
